New Opportunity for Online Students: Weekly Drop-In Zoom Sessions
The Business Division is pleased to announce a new initiative designed to enhance connection, engagement, and support for our online students. Starting next semester, many of our online courses will now include optional weekly drop-in Zoom sessions. These times will be listed on the course schedule and are open to any student enrolled in the course.
These sessions are a chance to:
- Talk with your instructor about the week's material or any questions you have
- Participate in learning activities that reinforce key concepts
- Review your projects and receive feedback
- Connect with classmates in real-time for discussion and support
While attendance is not required, we strongly encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their learning experience and foster a sense of community within the course.

No. These sessions are optional and will not directly affect your grade. They are
offered as additional support.
Sessions will be recorded when possible and posted in your course shell. You can also
reach out to your instructor with questions outside of the session.
These sessions will reinforce and expand on the weekly content; however, all required
materials will still be provided within the course itself.
Yes! This is a great time to ask questions, clarify expectations, and get feedback
from your instructor.
Absolutely. These sessions offer a great opportunity to hear diverse perspectives,
ask questions, and establish connections with your peers.
The drop-in Zoom sessions will be listed in the course schedule. The course will still
be labeled as "Online," but the meeting time will display a note stating "Remote Optional"
to indicate that live sessions are available but not required.
A Zoom link and schedule will be provided in your course shell. Just click the link
at the scheduled time to join.
