Commercial Motor Vehicle Certificate (CDL) Program Cost:
$5,248 for the Semester (All-Inclusive).
Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver:
Adults aged 62 or older who live in Gogebic County may take GCC credit courses tuition free provided there is space available. All seniors are required to pay relevant institutional and courses fees, purchase course textbooks and supplies and adhere to customary academic expectations. Seniors who live outside of Gogebic County may take GCC credit courses for the difference between in-district and out-of-district or out-of-state rates. Courses available are at the discretion of GCC. Senior citizens are not eligible to take course that are at enrollment capacity or at a specialized rate.
Courses offered as C.E.D or workshops(except that portion of the workshop that may be offered within the normal tuition structure) are offered on a cost-plus basis as determined by the administration and available at the time of registration. All students, including senior citizens, will pay the established rates for these offerings.
Institutional Fees for 2026-2027
Student Services and Access Fee: $18 per credit each semester of enrollment. The Student Services and Access Fee supports the expansion, maintenance and development of student registration, academic and career advising, tutoring , campus safety and student activities.
Directed Study Fee: $20 per credit in addition to tuition and other fees.
Credit by Examination: $15 per credit hour.
Distance Learning Fee: $20 per class (online and remote classes only). This fee covers the specialized technology needed to host, secure and support a digital classroom environment.
Credit card processing fee: Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.
Non-Sufficient Fund (NSF) fee: $25
Transcript Fee: $6 (NMU Direct Admission Students excluded)
Excess Contact Hour Charge - Some courses require additional instructional time through lectures, labs, clinicals, or workshops, resulting in contact hours that exceed the course credit hours. Students enrolled in these courses are charged for excess contact hours at their applicable tuition rate, based on residency and tuition classification. The maximum chargeable excess contact hours per semester is eight (8); Dual Enrolled and Early College students are charged at the in-district tuition rate with a maximum of four (4) excess contact hours.
On campus housing in the GCC Campus Suites housing is available for $2,000 per semester or $4,000 per year (double occupancy). Single rooms are available for $2,500 per semester or $5,000 per year.
