Services

Borrow Library Materials: GCC students, faculty, and staff are the primary clientele of the Library. Guests are welcome to visit the GCC library in person. Borrowing privileges for individuals not currently affiliated with Gogebic Community College are currently unavailable. 

Computer & Technology: GCC faculty, students, staff, and guests are welcome to use computers at GCC library. Copying and printing services are also available.

Course Reserve: Faculty can fill out the Course Reserve form to request certain materials set aside at the circulation desk of the Library for currently-enrolled students' short-term use. 

Group Study Rooms: GCC library has reservable study rooms and first-come, first served. You can make up to three (3) hour-long reservations each day. Reservations are forfeited if you don't show up within the first 15 minutes of the hour. To reserve a study room, pleaes contact the Library: GCCLibrary@gogebic.edu 

Off-Campus Access: Gogebic Community College provides many digital resources for all students and faculty. Off-Campus library access to Gogebic Community College's (GCC) subscribed electronic resources is limited to GCC faculty, staff, and currently registered students only.

To access the digital library resources, 

  • Log in MyGCC portal
  • Go to Faculty or Student tab at the top menu
  • Click the Accessing GCC Library database off-campus link in the bottom-right GCC Library Information section 

 

Online Tutoring 

Brainfuse is an online tutoring program. It is available FREE 24 hours a day to all Gogebic Community College students. With Brainfuse, you can easily access to multiple resources and connect with subject expert tutors including the fields of Business, Computer & Tech, English, Math, Nursing & Applied Health, Science, and Social Sciences.

Free Online Live Help and Writing Lab

With Brainfuse, you can receive one-on-one tutor help and send your paper to writing experts, and receive feedback in your inbox within 24-hours.

  • To take advantage of the comprehensive online tutoring experience and interact with an tutor in real time, log into Moodle learning management system with your GCC account.
  • If you don't see the option of Brainfuse online tutoring in your Moodle course, please contact your instructor.
