Fundamentals of Photography For More Info & To RegisterCourse Code: CED 136 Course DescriptionNo prior experience is required for this hands-on class—our training meets you where you are. Whether you bring a camera from home or simply use your smartphone, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to capture better photos and videos. You’ll learn camera basics, shooting techniques, and get a beginner’s introduction to editing. We’ll also explore how photography and video connect to social media marketing. The format is flexible: bring your own creative goals or just follow along. Each student will have time to work one-on-one with the instructor for personalized guidance. Who Should AttendAnyone age 15 or older interested in improving their photography or videography skills—whether for fun, social media, or creative projects. What to BringA camera or smartphone (some cameras will be available for use). About the InstructorJake Ring moved to Ironwood in 2017 to continue exploring the Upper Peninsula with his camera. His professional background includes whitewater raft guiding, videography, and lake and stream work for the Wisconsin DNR. Today, he works full time in photography and video for a wide range of clients, creating customized content that aligns with each brand’s voice and vision. Jake is also an FAA-licensed drone pilot who loves flying for both work and play—capturing story-driven aerial footage across wild canyons, steep waterfalls, and hidden natural spaces. He’s passionate about exploration and uses maps to seek out locations few others have photographed.

For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies for personnel in emergency response.
Medical First Responders
Medical First Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who
access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary
to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources
to arrive. Includes Books, Background Check, and Scrubs.
Industrial First Aid
Industrial First Aid expands on Medical First Responders training with application
in the workplace setting. Includes Books, Background Check, and Scrubs.
Emergency Medical Technician Basic
The EMT-Basic training will prepare students to provide care to patients in a variety
of pre-hospital settings, and will cover safety, a variety of injuries, and assessment.
State of Michigan approved curriculum. Includes Books, Background Check, and Scrubs.
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
Perform medical interventions with the basic and advanced equipment located on an
ambulance. Provide pre-hospital care.
RN to EMT Bridge
Course for healthcare professionals currently licensed as an RN in MI wanting to add
EMT certification for work in Emergency Medicine.
