David G. Lindquist Student Center
The Lindquist Student Center, named by the Board of Trustees in recognition of Dean Emeritus Lindquist's dedication to students and higher education, is designed to provide opportunities for a balanced physical fitness education program and student social, cultural and recreational activities. Opened in the Fall of 1993, the Student Center enhances student and community life by adding a new dimension to the GCC campus. Included in the Lindquist Student Center are an 11,205 square foot gymnasium, six-lane competitive swimming pool, 1/11 mile indoor walking track, aerobics area, and weight room. Other areas include the Courtside Dining Services cafeteria with meeting/banquet facilities seating over to 200, student lounge and game area, student organization offices, and a performing area.
The Lindquist Center is available for banquets, conferences, and other activities. Availability and prices may be obtained by contacting the Director of the Lindquist Student Center.
