Gogebic Community College is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience. The Houghton Extension Office is a main source for education in the Copper Country and we are taking some steps to enhance our student experience.

This Spring semester, students enrolled in our off-campus programs will now have a per semester charge of $50 added to their student account. This charge will expand the office hours for student use and onsite student services will be expanded within the first quarter of 2010. The addition of two new classrooms in our complex has just been completed and will now give GCC the ability to offer multi-discipline classes’ onsite.

Gogebic Community College is excited about the opportunities for students in our off campus division and is taking a step forward to provide services to our students in a location that is accessible, convenient, and close to your home.

Student Photo IDs

Students currently enrolled for 6 or more credits :

Stop by the Houghton office at the MI Works! Office complex, 902 Razorback Drive, Suite 6 between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, Monday - Thursday, to have your photo taken. Your photo ID will be returned by mail.

Or...

Send a photo of yourself to Computer Services, kathiem@gogebic.edu, and your photo ID will be returned by mail. Please be sure to include your name and student ID number in the e-mail. The photo should be sent as a jpg attachment to the e-mail.

Planning to Graduate?

Be sure to fill out your Application for Graduation form and return it to the Dean of Students offices located in T-108 and if you are planning on walking in the ceremony, please fill out the Graduation Apparel form and return it to T-100 (Admissions Office).

GCC's Copper Country Office

To assist off campus students, GCC has a Copper Country Office located at the Huron Centre in Houghton in the Michigan Works! Office complex. 902 Razorback Drive, Suite 6. Normal office hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST. Call 483-0070. The office provides student services for Copper Country residents. If service is required at other times, call the Ironwood campus at (800) 682-5910 ext. 209.
