Play in peace of mind. Pause in the great outdoors

Soak up the sun during a busy picnic in the courtyard, or retreat to the shade of a private wooded paradise.

Gogebic's 170 acres of buildings, recreational grounds and natural setting offer more than classrooms. Friends are always gathered in the Lindquist Student Center or the snack bar, and the nearby pristine grounds, lakes, woods and streams inspire all types of outdoor sports, discovery and observation. Downtown is a great gathering option too.

The town of Ironwood, Michigan, emerged during the iron ore mining industry that began in 1885, and the following years further molded the historic town's profile.

Now, quaint coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants flourish.

And enjoy peace of mind in knowing that you'll turn in at night in our popular Campus Suites, housing 96 students, or join students who take advantage of safe, off-campus housing.

Search interests. Find friends from all over

As a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and Region XIII, participation in intercollegiate athletics allows competition in basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and nordic skiing against other regional colleges and universities - and permits eligibility to university teams to transfer students. The majority of our 1500 students are active participants in clubs and sports. New students arrive each year from several states, as well as outside of the United States, bringing broad interests and big energy to activities.
