Institutional Scholarships

Gogebic Community College offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to both freshman and sophomores. Criteria and award amounts vary. Applications are available for most awards through the GCC Financial Aid Office. The typical application period is from January 1 through February 15 for awards made the following fall semester. Additional information on individual scholarships is available from the Financial Aid Office.

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS (alphabetical by last name)

ADRIANSON, MICHAEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to Gogebic, Ontonagon, Iron County, Michigan, male high school graduates who have competed in basketball and shown outstanding ability. Applicants must try out for the GCC basketball team. One award of $700 is made annually.

ARC OF GOGEBIC COUNTY

Recipients must have sophomore status and be full-time student from Gogebic County enrolled in Special Education or Human Services. Students must have and maintain a 2.5 grade-point-average. One award of $500 will be given annually.

ATHLETIC HERITAGE FUND

Students must be a member of the GCC basketball team and in good academic standing. Recipients may be either female or male and attend GCC on a full time basis. Awards range from $200-800 per year.

BESSEMER’S A.D. JOHNSTON ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The recipient must be a graduate of or have attended A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, MI and be a full time student at GCC. The award is not limited to any specific academic or technical program. The recipient may be a traditional or non-traditional student. One award of $250 is given annually.

BESSEMER PUMPKINFEST COMMITTEE ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

The recipient must be a full time student at GCC and be enrolled in good academic standing. Students must be from Gogebic County, MI, Ontonagon County, MI, or Iron County, WI. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are active in service in their communities. Recipients can be either freshman or sophomore students and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5. One award of $500 is given annually.

BUCHKO, MICHAEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to sophomore students majoring in mental health related field. Selection is based upon prior academic performance, financial need and instructor recommendation. One award of $100 is made annually.

CHANEY, WILLIAM AND BERNICE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients must be full-time incoming students from Bessemer. The award will be based on academic achievement, civic contributions, and financial need (including the likely availability of other financial assistance). Each criterion will be given equal weight. One award of $500 - $1,000 will be given annually to a recipient any academic program

CHAPUT-HUOTARI ALICE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a resident of Gogebic or Iron County. The student must have a 3.0 GPA or better and be majoring in an Allied Health Degree Program. The student can have either freshmen or sophomore standing. One award of $175 is given annually.

CHIANTELLO, ORESTE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Students who have demonstrated financial aid will be given priority. The scholarship will be awarded to a freshman student with a 2.0 or better GPA who plans on transferring to a four year university to receive their Baccalaureate degree. One award of $200 is given annually.

COHODAS, SAM M. SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to graduating high school seniors with selection based on outstanding academic performance during high school. Two awards of $150 each are made annually.

CONCERNED HEARTS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

Open to second year students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing Program with a minimum first year GPA of 2.75. Applicant must be a resident of the school district in Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield, or Hurley. Awards are based on need and academic performance with special consideration given to students interested in specializing in cardiac patient care. One award of $500 is made annually.

DAHLEN, MARY P. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to an incoming freshman majoring in business with orientation toward the banking profession. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and be resident of Gogebic County, Michigan, or Iron County, Wisconsin. Two awards of $350 are awarded annually.

DAHLIN, GENE L. MEMORIAL BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP

Open to full-time students in an Associate of Applied Business degree such as Accounting; Administrative Office Specialist; Legal Office Specialist; Medical Office Specialist; Computer Information Technology; Technical Support Specialist; Medical Transcriber; Medical Coding and Billing Specialist; Web Design; and Applied Management. Students must maintain a 2.8 GPA and preference will be given to Upper Michigan/Northern Wisconsin applicants and those who participate in intercollegiate basketball. Two awards of $500 each will be awarded annually.

DEFELICE, ARMAND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a sophomore student enrolled in a business related transfer or occupational program. Priority is given to the student with the highest academic standing; financial need is optional. One award of $200 is given annually.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP AWARD

Awarded to a deserving student who has demonstrated financial need. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or better. One $300 scholarship is awarded annually.

ERICKSON, RUTGER F. MEMORIAL & ASTRID LORENSON ERICKSON SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a graduate of L.L. Wright High School who has demonstrated strong academic achievement. One award of $1,500 and one award of $500 is made annually.

ERWIN COMMUNITY CLUB

Awarded annually to an entering freshman from Erwin Township. Application should be made through the Erwin Community Club.

FINCO, GARY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a sophomore student who is majoring in Criminal Justice. The student must be a resident of Iron or Gogebic County. Primary award selection is based on an assessment of academic standing with secondary consideration given to financial need. Two awards of $500 are made annually.

FORSLUND, CLARENCE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to full-time sophomore students who have a 3.5 GPA. The student must be enrolled in an accounting or business/finance program. The recipient must be a graduate of a Gogebic County, MI or Iron County, WI high school. One award of $500 is made annually.

FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Several awards are presented annually to outstanding high school graduates by the Gogebic Community College Foundation.

GENTILE-PAOLI BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP

The recipient must be a full-time student enrolled in a business administration degree transfer program with a preference on a program related to technology. The student should be a graduate of a Gogebic County, MI or Iron County, WI high school with a 2.5-3.0 GPA. The award can be given to either a freshman or sophomore student. One $500 award is made annually.

GERTZ COHEN, DENISE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to high school graduates from Gogebic County or Hurley, Wisconsin, who are returning sophomores with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.25. The order of priority of academic major will be: 1) Pre-Law; 2) Pre-Medicine; 3) Foreign Languages; 4) Associate of Arts-Transfer. Three awards of $750 are made annually.

GHELLER, LOUIS A. ANNUAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to either a freshman or sophomore student who shows a strong desire to succeed academically in their chosen field of study. The student must be a single parent with a general educational development (GED) diploma. Academic scholarship and financial need will be considered. One award of $550 is given annually.

GHELLER, LOUIS A. ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to freshmen or sophomore students who are majoring in a vocational technical program. Students must have demonstrated high school or college scholastic, vocational, athletic, musical, and/or student leadership. Participation in extracurricular school or community projects will be taken into consideration. The scholarship is based on financial need and the applicant’s lack of financial ability to otherwise attend GCC will be reviewed. Three $800 scholarships will be awarded to cover tuition, fees, and books per year.

GOGEBIC COUNTY RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to Gogebic County residents who are pursuing a career in teaching. The student must have achieved sophomore standing and have a GPA of 3.0 or better. One $300 scholarship is awarded per year.

GOGEBIC COMMUNITY COLLEGE FACULTY ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded by the GCC faculty members of the Michigan Education Association to a returning student who has excelled academically. One award to $500 is made annually.

GOGEBIC COMMUNITY COLLEGE FACULTY ASSOCIATION VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a student in a one year vocational program. GCC faculty members of the Michigan Education Association award the scholarship. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or better. The award is made in December and currently enrolled students are given the opportunity to apply. One scholarship of $250 is awarded annually.

GREY, GERALD AND HETTY ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a student enrolled in good standing with Gogebic Community College and have completed the Scholarship Application for the Financial Aid Office. This is a full tuition and fees scholarship, renewable for a second year.

HAKALA, JOHN B. AND MAE M. SCHOLARSHIP

Open to students with a 3.0 GPA or better who have demonstrated leadership abilities. The student must be attending full time and participate in school and community activities. Four awards of $800 are made annually.

HARRINGTON, DR. AND MRS. R.R. SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible recipients must be majoring in Nursing or Pre-medicine. Students must be in good academic standing to receive this award. One award of $1,000 is given annually.

HEALY RUTH M. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to the top ranking senior graduating from L.L. Wright High School attending GCC the following year. The amount of the award is based upon the cost of full tuition and fees for one year.

IRONWOOD BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS

Awarded to a returning sophomore attending full-time with a first year GPA of 3.25 or better. The applicant must have graduated from a high school located in Gogebic County or Iron County, WI. Award is based on a combination of academic achievement, financial need and concise outline of career plans. Two awards of $300 is made annually.

IRONWOOD KIWANIS CLUB FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a graduating senior from L.L. Wright High School who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, citizenship, and participation in school activities and plans to attend GCC on a full-time basis. One award of $300 is made annually.

IRONWOOD KIWANIS CLUB SOPHOMORE SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a returning GCC sophomore who is a resident of Ironwood, Ironwood Township, or Erwin Township. The applicant must be a full time student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of high academic achievement, citizenship, and service to the community and college. One award of $300 is made annually.

IRONWOOD-HURLEY ROTARY CLUB SOPHOMORE SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a returning GCC sophomore who is a resident of the Ironwood-Hurley area. The applicant must be a full time student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. The scholarship award is based upon financial need, other forms of financial aid available to the student, scholastic achievement and future aims and goals. One award of $500 is made annually.

IRONWOOD-HURLEY ROTARY CLUB VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a freshman student who is attending GCC full time. Student must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or better and reside in the Ironwood/Hurley area. A financial aid form must be filed with the GCC Financial Aid Office for a determination of need. The student must be enrolled in a vocational program. One award of $500 is given annually.

IRONWOOD WOMEN’S CLUB FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP

Open to senior females of L.L. Wright High School who will be attending GCC. Two awards of $150 are made annually.

IRONWOOD WOMEN’S CLUB SOPHOMORE SCHOLARSHIP

Open to residents of Ironwood, Ironwood Township, and graduates of L.L. Wright High School who have successfully completed their freshman year at GCC and will enroll the following year as a sophomore at GCC. Two awards of $150 are made annually.

JACOBSON, EARL AND RUTH STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a sophomore student with a minimum first year GPA of 3.0 majoring in the field of education with an emphasis in the humanities or communications (oral or written). The annual award in the amount of $500 is provided to promote the profession of teaching.

JAGLA, EVONNE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to students who are majoring in education. The student must be a sophomore student with good academic standing. Leadership and communication skills will also be taken into consideration. Two awards of $100 are made annually.

JALONEN, HELEN SCHOLARSHIP

Open to sophomore students who are majoring in elementary education. Students need to demonstrate a strong commitment to children. Priority is given to students who show financial need. Two awards of $750 are given annually.

JALONEN, ISAAC AND OLGA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a sophomore student majoring in either environmental or cultural arts fields. Two awards of $750 are made annually.

JAREK, AILEEN HIETANEN NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients must be full-time students in the Nursing Program and maintain a 3.0 grade-point-average. One award of $250 will be awarded annually.

JOSEPHSON, RAGNAR AND IRENE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

The student must have graduated from a Gogebic County, MI or Iron County, WI high school with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The recipients can either be freshmen or sophomores with full-time status. There will be four $400 scholarships awarded annually to one student majoring in nursing, one student majoring in business, and two students majoring in any academic program.

KEWEENAW LAND ASSOCIATION, LIMITED SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a qualified student enrolled or accepted for admission in one of the related areas of natural resources. The scholarship is open to a freshman or returning sophomore who graduated from a Gogebic County high school. One award of $400 (tuition only) is made annually.

KRAUSE, JOSEPH F. AND JUDITH A. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to students who are attending full time. The recipient must be a high school graduate of Gogebic or Iron counties and have a GPA of 3.0 or better. The award is given to the student with the greatest financial need. An annual scholarship of $350 will be awarded.

KRELL, DORIS M. BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants can be either an incoming freshman or a returning sophomore seeking an Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Secretarial Science. Students must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. One $800 award is given annually.

LADIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to returning sophomores based primarily on need but also on academic merit. Applicant must have been raised and attended high school within a 60 mile radius of Ironwood. Two awards of up to $200 each are made annually.

LADY SAMSON ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

Open to female students who have competed in basketball and shown outstanding ability. Applicants must try out for the Gogebic Lady Samson basketball team.

LAFORGE, MARGARET RUTH MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a student enrolled in the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. The student must have good academic standing and financial need. One award of $150 is made annually.

LAHTI, LAURI AUTOMOTIVE AWARD

Awarded to a sophomore student enrolled in the Automotive Technology Program. The scholarship is open to a student who graduated from a Gogebic County high school. One award of $100 each (tuition only) is made annually.

LAKE STATES AMVETS POST #490 OF IRONWOOD, MICHIGAN HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible recipients must be a member of the immediate family of a Post 490 member or be enrolled in a health care profession. Evidence of financial need and/or scholastic achievement will also be used as secondary criteria. One annual award of $300 will be given to a deserving student.

LEHTINEN, ELAINE FAYE AND TAIMI WAINIO SCHOLARSHIP

Open to freshman students who have excelled academically and have demonstrated a strong commitment to community and school activities. Strong leadership skills as well as personal accomplishments will be taken into consideration. Two scholarships of $500 are awarded.

LEVINSTEIN, MOSES AND MARY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

Open to full-time students from any geographic location and in any academic or technical program who have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship can be renewable. One $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually.

LINDBERG, EDNA M. MEMORIAL

The student must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program with at least a three-quarter-time attendance. The recipient is not limited to any specific geographic location or academic program and can be either a freshman or sophomore student. Awarding will be based on outstanding academic achievement. One $500 award is made annually.

LINDQUIST, DAVID G. HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP

Open to students who are single parents and holders of a general development (GED) diploma. The recipient may either be a freshman or sophomore student who indicates a strong desire to succeed. Financial need and academic scholarship should be considered. One $550 scholarship is awarded annually.

LOO, ROBERT ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

The recipient should be a full-time student with a 2.0 GPA. The student must be a graduate of West Iron County (MI) or Forest Park School District (Crystal Falls) and be a second semester freshman. The award is not limited to any specific academic program. One award of $500 is made annually.

LUND, VERNER J. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to sophomore students majoring in computer-related programs. The students must be graduates of high schools in Gogebic County or Iron County, WI, in good academic standing with financial need. Four awards of $500 each are made annually.

MERCONTI, SANDRA R. ULVINEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Students must be a graduate of A.D. Johnston High School and majoring in Computer Science or Education. The recipient must have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 and be attending GCC full time. Freshman or sophomore students can apply. One scholarship of $500 is awarded annually.

MORICHETTI , SERAFINO A. ("SUDS") AND MADELEINE M. NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients must be full-time students from Iron County, WI, or Gogebic County, MI, and be enrolled full-time in the Allied Health Division, maintaining a 2.5 grade-point-average. When possible, preference should be given to non-traditional students continuing on with an Associate Degree in Nursing. The awards may be given to freshman students and, if also eligible as a sophomore, renewed for the student's sophomore year. Two awards of $1,000 each will be awarded annually.

NASI, BRIAN T. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients must be full-time freshman students in the Building Trades or Construction Technology Program and maintain a 2.5 grade-point-average. One award of $500 will be awarded annually.

O’NEILL, PATRICK HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP

Open to students who are enrolled in a general education program or a liberal arts program and show a strong desire to succeed in their pursuit of an education. One award of $500 is given annually.

PAKONEN, ARTHUR AND ALMA SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a descendant of Arthur or Alma Pakonen. Second choice is given to a student of Erwin Township. The student will be a full-time student with the greatest amount of financial need. One scholarship of $500 will be awarded.

PATRICK, JOHN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to a second year associate degree nursing student with a minimum first year GPA of 2.75. The applicant must be a resident of Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield, or Hurley. Priority will be given to the student with greatest financial need who has demonstrated interest in coronary care. One award of $250 is made annually.

PISCA, GEORGE FRANCIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to high school graduates from Gogebic County who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students must be enrolled in a program leading to a baccalaureate degree. Selection will be based on GPA, citizenship, and character. Two awards of up to $400 each are awarded annually.

PLESH, STEVEN R. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to both freshman and sophomore applicants from the Gogebic Range with demonstrated academic talent. Special consideration will be given to students enrolled in a business-related field of study. Citizenship, leadership, community involvement and financial need may also be considered. One award of up to $350 is made annually.

PROSEK, WALTER F. SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to freshman students who have graduated from Hurley High School with a 3.0 or higher GPA. The students must be full time and are not limited to any specific academic program. Two awards of $500 are made annually.

RAJKOVICH, JOHN MEMORIAL FUND

Open to students who are attending full time and have a GPA of 3.0 or better. The student can either be a freshman or sophomore and must exhibit leadership skills in the community as well as the school. Two awards of $1,500 and three awards of $600 are made annually.

ROSSI, JENNIFER T. – WIMI/WJMS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to full-time students from Wisconsin counties of Ashland, Iron, Bayfield, Price, Vilas or Oneida; or Michigan counties of Gogebic or Ontonagon. Recipients must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA. One $500 award will be made annual.

SAMSON ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

Open to male students who have competed in basketball and shown outstanding ability. Applicants must try out for the Gogebic Samson basketball team.

SANTINI, TERESA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to sophomore nursing students from the Gogebic Range who are returning to college while also raising his/her family. Both financial need and academic performance will be considered. Three awards of $600 are made annually.

SELL, EARLE SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to students who have a GPA of 3.0 or better and are residents of Iron County, WI or Gogebic County. The student can be either of freshman or sophomore status and should have a major in history, genealogy, archeology, or anthropology. The scholarship will be awarded to a financially deserving student. Awards are $100 per year to one student.

SENDEK, EDWARD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a sophomore student with a major in business or education. One award of $100 is made annually.

SJOWALL, MARY LOUISE AND OSCAR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Students must be enrolled full time in an education degree transfer program. Awards are given to either freshman or sophomore students and are not limited to any specific geographic location. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. One annual scholarship of $1,000 is awarded.

SOLIN, JACOB A. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to freshman or sophomore students who have exhibited scholastic achievement. Student must be enrolled in either an academic or vocational degree program. Student financial need is optional. Two scholarship awards will be made annually in the amount of $300.

SWANSON, GUS ENDOWED VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

Priority is given to students from the Ironwood (MI) Area School District. If there are no qualified recipients from ironwood, the next priority are students in Gogebic County. Students must be majoring in the following programs to be eligible: Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Offset Printing, or Utility Technician. Three annual scholarships of $1,200 will be awarded.

SWANSON, ROBERT A. SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Awarded to either a freshman or sophomore student who is majoring in a business-related field. Students must exhibit scholastic achievement. Two annual scholarships of $700 will be awarded.

TABACCHI, ZERA F. SCHOLARSHIP

Students who are graduates of the Ironwood Area Schools are eligible to apply. Recipients must be a sophomore student and be degree-seeking. Students need to have a GPA of 2.5 or greater and exhibit some level of financial need. One scholarship of $500 is awarded annually.

TRIER’S SCHOLAR-ATHLETE FUND

Available to a Gogebic County or Hurley resident with an interest in sports who has demonstrated financial need as well as the ability to succeed academically. Preference will be given to former employees of Trier’s Drug Store. One scholarship will be awarded annually.

VANDERMADE, GARLAND AND JENNIE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to incoming freshman students who have excelled academically. The student must possess leadership skills as well as participate in community and school activities. Three annual awards of $500 are awarded.

VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP

Established by the Hurley Area Chapter to honor veterans of the Vietnam Conflict as well as all veterans and their families. Two scholarships are awarded annually, one to an Iron County, WI resident and one to a Gogebic County resident. Award priority is given to sons or daughters of veterans with consideration given to academic effort, success, and financial need. Applications are available through the Hurley Chapter of VVA.

WELLS FARGO BANK ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Open to full-time students enrolled in a business degree program. The recipient shall be a high school graduate of Ironwood, Bessemer, or Wakefield schools in Michigan or Hurley or Mercer, WI schools. The award is made to a sophomore with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. One $500 award is made annually.

WILLIAMS, REGINALD T. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Available to a Gogebic County resident who has successfully completed his/her freshman year at GCC and will return the following year as sophomore. The applicant must be enrolled in an academic program. One award of $250 is made annually.

WIRTANEN, PAUL A. AND ELIZABETH MINDS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to students who are incoming freshmen and have achieved a 3.0 GPA or better. Students must have participated in extracurricular and community activities. Leadership, character, and communication skills will also be taken into consideration. Two $450 scholarships are awarded annually.

YELICH, LOUIS AND ANN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients must be graduates from a high school in Gogebic or Ontonagon Counties in MI, or from Iron or Ashland Counties in WI and graduated from high school with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Students should have freshman, second semester status and maintain a 3.0 grade point average. Students must be attending GCC full time. One award of $250 is given annually.

YELICH, MARY LOUISE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients must have graduated from high school in Gogebic or Ontonagon Counties in MI, or from Iron or Ashland Counties in WI. Students should be full-time second-semester freshman in any academic program, who graduated from high school with a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average and maintain that average. One award of $250 is given annually.

ZIEM, RAYMOND AND ISABELLE SCHOLARSHIP

Open to freshmen or sophomore students who are attending full-time. Students who are descendants of either Raymond or Isabelle Ziem are given priority. If there is no direct descendent who applies, priority is then given to residents of Ironwood Township. Students with the greatest financial need among eligible applicants are given priority. One scholarship of $500 is awarded annually.
