Automotive Technology Adjunct Instructors - Fall 2012 Semester
Gogebic Community College seeks adjunct instructors to teach Automotive Technology classes during the fall 2012 semester. All fall semester classes begin August 27, 2012.
Specifically, the College seeks instructors with qualifications to teach the following classes at the Ironwood, MI campus location:
- Engine Repair (Afternoon/Evening)
- Engine Performance Fundamentals
- Advanced Engine Performance
- Heating and Air Conditioning

The successful applicant should have the following Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in field/related field. Associate’s degree/equivalent will be considered in combination with overall experience.
- *Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are a must in topics you would teach.
- Experience teaching at the community college a plus.
- Coursework experience and/or teaching experience in courses you are interested to teach.
- Experience developing and teaching online courses or using other technology to support learning (specifically for Internet classes).
- Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities
- A strong familiarity and acceptance to the community college form, function, philosophy and comprehensive mission
- Familiarity of innovative assessment techniques and strategies for classroom assessment
- Experience in interdisciplinary learning
- A track record of participation in the community and with professional organizations

Online Medical Biilling And Coding Adjunct Instructors – Spring 2013 Semester
Gogebic Community College seeks adjunct instructors to teach courses in the Medical Billing and Coding Certificate during the fall 2012 semester. All fall semester classes begin August 27, 2012.

- Candidates must have Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in field/related field.
- Master’s (MSN/MA) degree/equivalent a plus for all courses. Registered Nurse (RN) a plus.

Fundamentals of Computer Applications (Internet class)
Introduction to Homeland Security (Monday evening class)
Law Enforcement Function
Workplace Literacy
Computer Literacy (8 weeks, Tuesday evening class, ends 10/16)
Microeconomics
Introduction to Philosophy (Internet class)
General Psychology (Internet class)

Adjunct Faculty Application Instructions
The following items are required from all Adjunct Faculty applicants before being considered for a position at Gogebic Community College:
- Completed Gogebic Community College Application for Employment.
- Completed Adjunct Faculty Qualifications Form.
(Note: you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to
open and print these two documents.)
- Letter of application (not to exceed 2 pages) that specifically explains ability to meet the qualifications and responsibilities of the teaching assignment.
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- Transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable for application; official copies will be required upon employment)
- Two letters of recommendation that address aspects of your experience
* Please note that beginning fall 2012, all newly appointed adjuncts or adjuncts with less than two years teaching experience at Gogebic Community College are required to complete a formal Adjunct Orientation. Orientation must be completed prior to teaching. Dates for the orientation will be available in May.
